EU Commission sets out Eogrts plans

Chemical Watch reportst that The European Commission has decided what it will do about the 200 or so draft Decisions on testing proposals and compliance checks, which have been held up by the incorporation of a test study into the REACH information requirements.

Germany calls for greater scrutiny of REACH data quality

Chemical Watch reports that Germany is calling for the data to be checked in all high tonnage REACH registration dossiers. Several authorities in the country have been working on a project to assess the quality of data for endpoints of high concern in dossiers for 1,000tonne/year chemicals.

A report on the project is expected mid-April, but it is understood that more than half of the dossiers checked have inadequate data for at least one endpoint of high concern.
