REACH will require actors to carefully consider their position in the supply chain. Various roles include but are not limited to: manufacturing substances, using substances as reagents, generating by-products, generating intermediates, distributing products. All of these roles impose certain duties under REACH. Hereunder we consider inorganic tin chemicals as substances to be registered.
Manufacturers and importers of inorganic tin chemicals (in quantities of 1 tonne or more each year) are responsible for registering dossiers of information about those chemicals with the European Chemicals Agency. In order to relieve some of the burden, companies are being encouraged to work together and share the costs. To this end ITRI are working on behalf of the industry to establish some possible groupings for inorganic tin chemicals such that the relevant companies may work together and formerly cooperate with each other under agreements made within consortia.
If you are interested in joining the inorganic tin chemicals grouping please use the join tab above.
